Go figure Tuesday it was hot.  Hot enough that after work I changed into a t-shirt and shorts.  And then yesterday, Wednesday, it SNOWED!!  Yes I did say that correctly.  The place that only sees snow once every 10 yrs got snow.  And it was off schedule.  We just had some snow 4 yrs ago for Christmas.  And then now.  I think I need to move further south :)

This morning I had to scrape snow off the windshield this morning so that I could go to work.  I do admit the stuff is beautiful and the kids were extra excited.  But I dont like the cold.  And seeing the fact that it is already snowing now I think there might be a chance for more of the white stuff this winter season.  Here's to wishing that we dont get too much more.

Ok this was posted by someone else on another forum.  But I thought it was cute and fitting for yesterdays weather in Houston.

Okay Texans. Commence an immediate search for any Yankees who are within our state. Check to see if they have permission to visit our state and ensure they have signed the "Don't bring your snow down here" agreement. If they cannot provide proof, get them reported to the YLWIEO (Yankee Lousy Weather Immigration Enforcement Organization).

Faire has come and gone.  And I was only able to attend once :(  Either work or money had a role to play in my lack of attendance this year.  My heart feels saddened over the fact that faire is over and I feel like I havent gone.  There are years to come.  And hopefully this year I will be able to make a trip to Scarby.  Although I probably need to start saving and planning now.  Sometimes I wish faire would run year round.  But then when you think of that it might not have the same joy and fun as it currently does.  For the time being I will get to my sewing and hopefully have done a lot more by next faire season.

Yesterday we got the permission slip for DJ to participate in his annual Christmas program.  I am so happy that his school program is doing this.  But I am oh so concerned that I am going to start crying like I did last year.  I have come to accept that my son is deaf and he isnt like most others.  And I no longer cry like I did over that fact.  But when I see children from the ages of 3 - High schoolers putting on a Christams program it just brings to me to tears.  I happy that they are strong and are taking this hurdle with such grace.  But to think of the pain, rejection, and turmoil that they are going through or will have to go through brings me to tears.  Maybe with more years of dealing with this I wont find myself so emotional.  But as of late I sill am.  I guess it dont help if sometimes I am an emotional case to begin with.

I wonder if I can get my crying out before the program and not cry during it this year.  I dont know.
