So Lord Shadow and I took the wee ones to TRF today.  We only stayed for a couple of hours, due to the heat and the kids getting worn out and tired.  But we had a marvelous day.  For all the years I have gone in garb this was the first time in a long time that people were asking us to please stop so they could get pictures.  Which made me feel great seeing the face that I had sewn my dress, Lord Shadows doublet and Sir Boosealots (spl?) doublet.  Today we got to bring 5 people there for the first time.  4 of them were in garb.  My youngest had never been before.  The last time we took the wee ones we decided it would be better to leave her with a baby sitter.  My husbands nephew came with us.  He just recently moved here and hadn't ever been before.  Then my husbands cousin and wife, whom I am friends with, came.  I had loaned her my extra dress and I had made a kilt and shirt for him to wear.  And then those 2 had a friend that came with him.  The only one not in garb.

We had put the kids in "The Cage" again.  And had them go.  But Little Miss was going good until her brothers and sister left her.  Then she started crying and didnt want to be in there anymore.  So once she got out, our youngest boy was just crawling around in circles and couldn't find out how to get out.  So I paid my dues and went a crawling with them.  So everyone got a laugh and a couple of pics of me in my dress crawling through a small kid area.  But I had tons of fun so I'm not complaining.

After lunch we took the kids who wanted to go on the Kings Swing.  I was pretty sure it was going to happen.  And ended up laughing for the most of the ride, but Little Miss freaked out on the swing.  She is not a fan of ANY swing.  My Dad was on the outside of the gate waiting for us to get off.  And the entire time on the swing she was screaming "I want PaPa.  Papa come get me.  Help.  Let me off.  I want down.  Papa..."  My mother and I were laughing extremely hard.  But it was with good fun.

And then the last show of our day, we caught Sholo's 3 o'clock performance.  It was good we were laughing.

Well, I'm tired and need to get some rest.  I ended up being up for 31-32 hrs in the past 2 days.  Got up Friday morning and didnt get any sleep until after we had left TRF and was on the way back home.
